
Phlebotomy Technician
As short as 8-10weeks, the student will learn the basic fundamentals in drawing blood from a vein called phlebotomy. Students will learn the basic concepts in anatomy, physiology, infection control, clinical laboratory procedures in phlebotomy and prepares them for the phlebotomy national boards. They will also get hands on experience through their externship in our affiliate laboratories. After completing the class and phlebotomy national boards, the student may register through the California Department of Public Health / Laboratory Field Services (CDPH/LFS) and receive a registration number that permits them to practice phlebotomy in the state of California. Students may seek employment through clinical labs, hospital labs, clinical research labs and insurance screening facilities.

1. High School Diploma or GED (General Education Certificate)
2. Must be 18 y/o or older
3. Must pass a high school level proficiency entrance exam
4. Completed the following vaccinations and screen test:
PPD test (screening test for tuberculosis)
Hepatitis B (3 serial vaccinations)
5. Proof of health insurance coverage
